About the work
The face is built in horizontal bands, like layers of earth or the floors of a building: an orange zigzag at the top, red, blue and violet stripes, a mouth of black teeth cutting across on the diagonal. The mind is a territory that changes with every experience, and each stratum holds a chapter of that story.
